Srinagar’s greatest trump card would be the mesmerisingly placid Dal Lake. Ever since 2003, Srinagar has been tagged to the safe travel destination.

Shalimar, Nishat and Chashm-e-Shahi together constitute the famous Mughal Gardens of Srinagar. They are known as much for their architectural beauty and crafts as for the history that surrounds them. It was in the 17th century that Shalimar Bagh garden was built as a summer residence and royal court. These hillside gardens played part in many movies sets likes of songs and for other preps.

Another major hotspot would be Manasbal. A short drive from Srinagar takes you to Manasbal Lake, which at first view looks carpeted with lotus flowers. Birds tweeting sounds and chirps would be the best hearing sounds you could year.
